My Approach
Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy is a collaborative and active therapeutic approach that is tailored to a healing process of accessing the emotional responses to painful experiences. In this process, therapist and client will notice and address ways in which emotional processes become blocked as they are experienced in the therapeutic space. Being able to experience feelings previously blocked, will gradually bring symptom relief and make way for lasting change in the character structure.
This evidenced based treatment has been extensively researched, practised and taught in programs around the world. It has been shown to be effective with patients suffering from depression, anxiety, somatic symptoms, eating disorders and other personality problems.

“Patients come to us because they have lost their freedom to engage in self-creation. They have become determined, in part by defenses of which they are unaware. They know they want something different in their lives but are unable to see what inhibits their freedom. Our task as therapists is to help them recover their freedom to love, to live and to create a life that matters.”
